Bed and Breakfast
Enjoy a relaxing vacation in a comfortable colonial style
house, located one kilometer from both the main beach and La
Playita. The house is the perfect accommodation for a
romantic getaway or a family in need of room to play.
The house has two large living rooms, three bedrooms (each
with adjoining bathrooms) and a kitchen with gas stove and
refrigerator. The hammocks on the shaded second floor
terrace are perfect for afternoon naps and the terrace has
sweeping views of the surrounding area. An indoor garden,
decorative Mexican tiling and sculptured gardens round out
the experience.
Wireless internet access, hot water, AC and cable television
are available. Room rates range from $50-80/night.
Boat transportation to local beaches, horseback, four
wheeler and scuba diving excursions can be arranged through
the hotel. Snorkeling equipment is available free of charge.
Lunches and dinners can be ordered in advance.
Sport Fishing Charter Boat
Las Galeras, Samana has some of the best fishing in the
Caribbean. Located within 2 miles of a 1700 foot drop into
the Puerto Rico trench makes Las Galeras perfect for bottom
and deep sea fishing.
- Fishing excursions for the experienced and novice
fishermen in our 28 foot Sport Fishing boat and a Yamaha
22-foot panga.
- Dorado (Mahi Mahi), Yellow Fin Tuna, Red Snapper,
Yellow Tail Snapper, Grouper, Tarpon, Bone Fish, and
Permit are available all year round.
- December until April is the main season for Dorado
and Wahoo.
- November to January is the prime time for Sailfish.
- Blue Marlin and Sailfish are available from October until February.
- Full and half-day outings are available.

Snorkeling and Playa Rincon
Excursions
Playa Rincon is ranked among the finest beaches in the
world. Local women serve fresh coconut, fish and Dominican
specialties right on the beach. You'll see the untouched
hills around Playa Rincon on the 10 minute boat ride from
the main beach in Las Galeras. Casa Dorado can show you
undisturbed beaches where the snorkeling is fabulous.
Snorkeling equipment is available free of charge to all
visitors at Casa Dorado Bed & Breakfast.
