Dom Rep baseball
Thanks to those who replied.
I have had access to the individual team pages; unfortunaltely a lot of the info I requested from you folks is not on those pages. I'll try some of the links suggested here.
To Cleef, nope this isn't Fantasy baseball related, but you're close. I have played tabletop baseball game called Cadaco All Star Baseball since it first appeared in 1941 (yes, I *am* that old!), at which time it was called Ethan Allen All Star Baseball. It was produced anew every year through 1993.
The game utilizes thick card discs, each representing one of the Major League All Stars from the previous season. Each disc is divided into 14 wedges, with each wedge representing an offensive category. Several years ago I learned how to make the discs using a popular word processing program. I have friends who also like to make their own discs, especially since the game is no longer produced, but they mostly focus on major league ball, while mine is different.
Until 1993, I spent most of my adult life in Asia and am quite fond of Japanese, Korean and Taiwanese baseball. Having studied Spanish for five years when I was young, I still have an interest in things Latin American, and that includes baseball. So it is natural that I focus my disc-making, and playing of the game, on those two regions. I love the language challenges as well as the "hunt for info" that go into this. It's a great hobby for baseball fans!
Thanks again to all for the help.
