No, they are not the same although they are located in the same area. We are going to the Gran Dominicus and had the same confusion as you. The Dominicus Palace is new and that is why you can't find any information (I'm not even sure if it is open yet). The Club Viva Dominicus is owned by the same company as the Dominicus Palace and the Gran Dominicus is owned by a former co owner of the Club Viva Dominicus. I am curious about where you found information on the Gran Dominicus and would appreciate it if you could let me know. We have been to the Bayahibe area where these resorts are and it is beautiful there.
