Last year when I arrived in POP my surfboards go re-routed and didn't come until later that night. When I returned to get the board-bag they would NOT let me back into the luggage area. My friend tried really hard and argued a bit (in Spanish) to the doormen (sketchy guys sitting around drinking beers) to let us in. I was pretty scared that I wouldn't get my bag. I think when they finally saw how big and heavy it was did they finally allow us to get it. At least this let me carry my own bag with out someone grabbing it and demanding money. Any thoughts on how to avoid this mess? I going back soon and I would like to be a little more prepared because my Spanish sucks.
