Hi! Well my thoughts are that the chances of it happening 2x's in a row might be slim so you've got nothing to worry about. I was a young girl traveling to the DR by myself and never had a problem. My spanish was really bad at first. I'd say "No Gracias" and hold onto my bags. They would say Taxi?! and I'd Say "No Gracias!" and they'd say "Hotel, what hotel?" As they swing open a car door trying to lure me in.. "No, Mi casa!" LOL!!! and they'd look at me a little hessitant to let me go by myself until a jumped into a loved ones arms. Then they were assured that this american (supposedly with lots of money) had a way home they moved onto their next money bag! hehe.. So I think just a "No Gracias" is fine!
