I am a Canadian and we got married in the DR in 1995. The hotel we chose was the Luperon Beach Resort. Very simple and inexpensive to get married there and they even reserved us one of their all inclusive a la carte restaurants for our wedding party. We had to go into town one morning and see the Justice of the Peace to ensure all our paper work was okay. That was about all there was to it. We bought a case of champagne and including that I think it cost about $300.00 U.S. dollars for the everything. We made our own flowers and the Resort made a cake for us.
