what to see on a budget?

Can anyone recommend important or interesting places to visit that are not too expensive, and how to get to them from Puerto Plata? Cheap transportation too.

Take public transportation to visit the Brugal Rum Factory (call ahead for tours), Amber Museum in Puerto Plata City, and the Columbus Water Park. Public transportation is also available to take you to Sosua Beach and Cabarete Beach areas.
