Gran Ventan Resort

This is considered one of the better hotels in Playa Dorada. It is also the newest. While mosquitos are not a problem at the hotels which fumigate, they can be a problem if you go outside. Interestingly, some persons suffer from bites while others are ignored by the mosquitos. In fact, mosquitos are not a problem as you can prevent them from biting by using mosquito cream. Several people recommend Coppertone's new sunscreen+ mosquito repellent.

Went to Gran Ventana last year - had a great time - clean, food good and staff friendly. Nice beach, can walk for miles. New resort so is bright and rooms nice. We just came back from Puerto Plata and stayed at Paradise Beach next door to Gran Ventana - I liked this hotel very much - we walked through Gran Ventana and it looked just the same as last year - have a great time - if you have any questions, just ask

Any one out there that can give me any and all information about this resort. My husband and myself are going in March. Any information would be appreciated. Does anyone know if there are mosquito's at that time of year?
