Default Cuba By Way of the DR

How can a US citizen like myself visit Havana through the DR? I understand there are chartered flights, but are they safe? Any comments via this BB or e-mail would be appreciated.

Lacsa, a Costa Rican airline and Cubana Airlines (the Cuban government airline) have regular flights to Cuba. Your passport is not stamped by the Cuban authorities. Heard that a wealthy US businessman in Boston, a cigar-smoker, has offered to pay legal expenses of up to US$3 million for the case of the first American that has to go to court for traveling to Cuba. The businessman defends the constitutional right to travel of US citizens. For travel arrangements, contact Emely Tours in Santo Domingo. The air cost is slightly over US$300.

You people may think me a bit "over reacting," but wait until you meet some of the Treasury people (Read Secret Service), they have absolutely no sense of humor when it comes to misrepresenting the White House Seal in any way shape or manner.

I'm not criticising you, just letting you know you may be inviting a personal call.

Lighten up Tom ! In my opinion, it is Bill and his Willie that is mis-representing the office of the President these days anyways!

I knew someone would have to take my message to heart, personally I as "lightened up" as can be. I simply am relaying past experience and knowledge of the way they operate. You realize someone jokingly saying "I'd like to punch that damm Cl..." will often receive a visit from Treasury if it is made aware?

Well Tom...I can't speak to that, I've never known anyone who's had a visit from them, but if it's true they surely will be busy to the year 3000 visiting all the people who are publicly saying they'd like to ......

Default I couldn't help it...

I think the Treasury dept have a few other things to worry about than a logo being linked on our site. What I want to know is. What are the Tresuary Dept doing about the thousands of American tourists that go on vacation to Cuba? I can't get a flight on Cubana due to the amount of American's, it's terrible! Maybe they are too busy looking for the person that broke the embargo and sold all those American flags to Cuba. Appears to be many yachts in the marina's flying the "stars and stripes" these day's. Sorry, I couldn't help it.
