Philly To Punta Cana Feb 25

Just a note to thank all the contributors to this board who helped prepare me for my vaca to the DR. I was in a panic at the beginning of the week because I was booked at the Catalonia; however, I was able to convince Apple to change our hotel to the Bavaro Beach Resort. Thanks especially to all the kind souls who put out the warning about their experience at the Catalonia.

Anybody else leaving from Philly/Baltimore on Feb 25 going to the Bavaro Beach. It would be nice to touch base with everyone.

You will enjoy your vacation! We are going back to Bavaro Beach Resort in April. We were there last April,it is a great resort.Please post your comments when you return.

trudy, saw you changed hotels. probably a good idea after the posted review. see you at the airport thursday. we will be at the melia bavaro. don't forget your immodium. know someone who just returned from punta cana last week, same flights as us and everone was sick.i'm sure we will all take proper prcautions and we will all stay well. I thought we took all precautions to. We were extra careful with the water certain foods and we still got sick. Please if you still have time call your doctor and get the right medication to take I think you have to take it before you leave. I keep telling my husband we did'nt get sick in Cancun and we won't get sick here. Boy was I surprise when i spent 36 hours in bed. BEING FOREWARNED!!! Have a great vacation.

we always take a medical bag- I'm bringing my doctor with me! always have immodium, antibiotics etc., but still should be cautious not to overdo on booze sun and food. Only three more days- whee!!
