Looking for last minute tips I should know and the current exchange rate also where to exchange in Puerto Plata area. Thanx Bill

Most exchange houses are paying RD$16+ on the dollar, banks are paying slightly less. There are exchange houses all over Puerto Plata.

Bill, there was a place across from the Brugal rum factory in Puerto Plata that was exchanging dollars. Also, sometimes on the beach,or even if you are staying the the Playa Dorada complex, there are guys who will change money. But make sure you know that rates at the bank because you can do better with these guys and also at this exchange place across from the rum factory.
