The best hotel in D.R.????

I am taking a group of couples and my main concern is that they have an overall great time. I want to find the perfect hotel: excellent service, great restaurants, beatiful beaches, sports, entertainment, ect... .

I have been to the DR several times, staying in different resorts each time, and in my opinion, the Playa Naco Golf & Tennis Resort is easily my favorite. Your days are as busy or quiet as you want, service is friendly and excellent, and the food is great. Lots of activities that are simple to access, no security deposits for the equipment, etc.

I highly recomend Bavaro Beach Resort, we were there last year and are returning agian in April.

We have going to the Dominican Republic for the last 12 yrs. We are going again on March 20th and will be staying at our favorate hotel which is Decameron Beach Club And Casino in Jaun Doilo. It is on the South side about 30 min. from the airport and 45 min. from Santo Domingo.

I think the Jack Tar Village at Playa Dorada would be the best for couples since no children are allowed. It has a casino, disco and three specialty restaurants along with their main buffet restaurant. The daytime and evening entertainments geared for adults. We were there in January and really enjoyed it and wouldn't mind going back there again. We have looked at other properties and find that Jack Tar is the most beautiful of all. It is a village of 4 rooms per building scattered all around. It is also surrounded by the golf course and most rooms have views of the golf course from the balcony or terrace.

I would recommend the Melia Bavaro - spent a week there in Dec. 98 - fantastic.
