Honeymooning in Dominican

Could someone please tell me what their honeymoon was like in the Dominican.....we're not avid travellers....and want to go somewhere with warmth and sun......I'm getting mixed messages about our destination...which is Peurto Plata, the Flamenco Resort.......tell me all........

We spent our honeymoon in Punta Cana (28.1.-11.2.1999) and it was very lovely place. We lived in hotel Riu Naiboa (4*, all inclusive) and have a svite with two balkongs there (and we even not reserved a svite but normally room). Weather was warm and sunny, quite windy also, but somebody told that normally it's not so windy. There are long, white sand beaches where to walk. It's also quite peaceful resort (perfect for honeymoon), but if you like there are also casino, disco etc. We also snorkeled there (both beach and snorkling tours and tried deep sea fishing. I can recommend Punta Cana for your honeymooning...
