Hotel Santo Domingo/New Year's Bash

3 of us will be at the Hispanolia, your "sister" hotel. The Santo Domingo is very nice "business" type hotel. Youre a 5$ cab ride, or 20 min walk from the middle of the Colonial Zone

I am a 34 year old BM professional who will be traveling to Santo Domingo December 28, 1999 to January 3, 2000. I have reservations at the Hotel Santo Domingo for six nights at $155 per night (not including the 23% sales tax). Seeking a roommate who has confirmed airline reservations but is seeking accommodations. Probably looking at for the two of us about $90 per night (tax included). Also interested in hearing from those who have stayed at this hotel before. Are the accommodations exceptional for a $155 (Millenium week)per night price. I have been told that the accommodations are for a deluxe double bed if this helps with your assessment(s). How far is the hotel from Santo Domingo's nightlife and New Year's bashes. I was informed by a DROne Rep that another hotel, Hotel Comercial will be opening at year's end. Any updates or contact information to inquire about room reservations?
