Hi Tammie: Debbie's dominican home page has a button to click on for weather updates. When are you going? Lately it's been a little bit of rain. I'm going end of March, so I also hope it clears up. Feel free to email me. Thanks.

we were there last week for a visit. We were staying at the Playa Dorada complex though near Puerto plata. We liked Sosua better than Puerto Plata, a little more action and a little more touristy. But lots going on. The beach is beautiful. Clear water, great for snorkelling and swimming. A little more expensive in Sosua than Puerto plata, and they get ticked off if you offer them to low a price on the beach markets. Great seafood on the beach, and for a low priced local meal, just go up the steps from the beach huts and check out the little side streets. Nice little restaurants down the sidestreets. Look for one next door to a closed bar called the Casablance Club. right next door. Very reasonable prices, $4.50 Can. for a 3 course meal. Excellent food . There is a Real Estate office at the same spot owned by a Canadian gent, who will be glAD TO talk to you about Sosua. His name is Joe, say Gage from Winnipeg said to say hello. Prices are a lot different when you get away from the tourist areas. The local bus is a joy to ride also. Take the trip to Puerto Plata from Sosua on the local bus. Not sure of the price, going that way, but no more than a couple of bucks. Taxi would be around $40 return. Sorry, I dont know more about Sosua, but we were there only a couple of times and really enjoyed it, and if we were togo back to the DR, we would stay in the same resort you will be in. It is suppsed to be a great place. have fun,

Gage
