From Santo Domingo to Port-au-Prince

I need directions by land on how to get from Santo Domingo to Port-au-Prince, Haiti. I also need information on what documentation is required at the border from U.S. and Dominican citizens. In addition, information on which airlines travel between these cities would be helpful. Thank you.

Air Santo Domingo will take you there. You can book at the Herrera Airport. Or you can take the Terrabus. Dominicans need a passport and visa, which can be obtained at the Embassy/Consulate in Santo Domingo. US citizens need their passport and to pay entry taxes that are US$10 at the border or upon arrival to the airport.

How long does it take to get to Port-au-prince on the bus and how is it worth going for just a couple of days ??

It's a six hour trip by bus. RD$1,050 round trip. Haiti has seen better days. I think you would better spend your time visiting different areas within the DR.
