Santo Domingo hotels?

Hi,

I'm arriving in Santo Domingo on Saturday night and I need a hotel recommendation. Preferably safe, clean and around $30 or so for a single. I do not need it to be luxury -- at all; I do need it to be in a safe part of town.

Also -- how much should a taxi ride to the city center from the airport cost?
