Default recently returned !!!!!!!

Recently returned from the Dominican Republic, the north coast, stayed at the Caribbean Village Playa Grande. This was a very relaxing and beautiful area to stay, the beach is beautiful, but the power of the waves can be a little overwhelming sometimes if not very dangerous. The resort is very clean and the staff very friendly and helpful. The golf course is very beautiful and the caddies helpful, but their knowledge of golf is not that good as the course is only one and a half years old and golf is very new to the dominican people in that area of the north coast. We will be returning to this area again next year, and cannot wait to once again be walking along the beach of Playa Grande!

Thanks to our new friends in the D.R.

Just a tip if you go back next year. Play the other course (Playa Dorada, I think). We played it last week and my Caddie had been a Caddie at that course for nineteen years. Both of our Caddies were very helpful. After about 2 holes we never had to tell them what club we wanted. They did mention though, that the new course hired all young guys because the veterans all wanted to stay at the old course.

When we were there,(feb-18-mar-4) the first week was quite busy at Playa Grande golf course, there were people arriving without tee times and were not able to play until 3pm and for only 9 holes, thus they were very disappointed. We were lucky as we had our travel agent book our tee times a month before we arrived in the D.R., as for the course at Playa Dorada, we talked to a guest who had played there during the same time and the tee time problem seemed to be similar there as well.

Good Luck!!!!
