Transport Santo Domingo - Jarabacoa

HI,

Does anyone know the best way to get from the airport in Santo Domingo to Jarabacoa on a late afternoon/early evening? How much would a local taxi be? Any insights will be appreciated. Thanks!

Caribe Tours is your best option. Busses charge RD$60. The trip is very pleasant, scenery lovely. Bring a sweater because the bus air-conditioning may be chilly. Morning departures at 7 and 10 am. Afternoon departures at 1:30 and 4:30. Take an airport taxi into the Santo Domingo Caribe Tours terminal (about RD$250). When you get to the bus terminal in Jarabacoa, take a taxi to your final destination. If you arrive late, then your best option is to overnight in Santo Domingo. Why not see some of the sites of the capital city before continuing on?
