casa del mar

Hi. I was wondering if anyone had any feedback on the resort Casa del mar. We want to go there for our honeymoon and i would welcome any previous guest sharing their expieriences.

We stayed at Casa del Mar from 20. march until 13. april 1998. The resort is beautiful, also the beach, pool, people who worked there, rooms. It was so good so we are going back april next year. Please feel free to e-mail me for more detailed information.

How far is Casa del Mar from the airport in La Romana? Does the hotel has transportation from the airport to the hotel? What activities are in the hotel to do? Any other places to go around the area and how far? any taxis in the area....how much they charge? Where can I rent a car in the area? I'm going there in June, please help!

Hello I just posted regarding this topic last week.. Use the Search Engine for "Casa del Mar" and you should find some information.. Also go to "Debbies dominican web site" for great reviews on this hotel. Anyway it really is a beautiful property.. As far as how far from La Romana airport it is about 20-30 min ride. I am not sure about car rentals..

I have been there twice and I loved it both times. The staff are wonderful the food is great and you will have a great time. It is the nicest resort in the DR I have been all over the island and I have not found a better place. A honey moon there would be excellent I am sure.

The La Romana airport is not international and so if you are flying in on a comercial jet airline you will either go to Punta Cana or to Las Americas outside of Santo Domingo. The ride is aprox. 1.5 hours and its a nice trip both in the day and night. (I have done both) The roads from santo domingo to Bayahibe are very good. The highway in the DR is very well developed.

American Eagle flies into La Romana International Airport from Puerto Rico daily. It's about a half hour drive to Casa del Mar from the airport. For car rentals, see National Car Rental's web site link on this site.

La Romana airport is in fact international. There is one AA flight each day from Miami arriving at 1:40 PM and departing at 3:PM for return to Miami. There are also several flights from other islands including at least two American Eagle flights from San Juan each day.

I didnt know that La Romana was an international airport I was told the opposite. That is really great, Maybe I will fly there next time.
