Still worth going in June?

I am planning on buying my package this week to go to Puerto Plata on June 12. I just found out this is the rainy season. How much does it rain? Should I postpone my plans or go then as planned? Any info would be greatly appreciated!!

NOT SURE OF JUNE, BUT I WAS THERE IN EARLY MARCH, (NOT RAINY SEASON) AND IT RAINED MOST MORNINGS, AS WELL AS 2 ENTIRE DAYS. GOOD LUCK.

My brother was in La Romana (Bayhibe) last year... may 23 - june 03. He had a great time. Some rain early in the morning then sunshine. Just 1 day with clouds & rain!

OK! When he arrived with AA to La Romana, they could not land at La Romana Airport due to too much water on the runnaway. After 2 landing attempts they had to fly to Santo Domingo.

Two years ago I went to the DR in June. The weather was terrific.
