Default work

Oh No! another person asking about work in the DR!

Now that's out of the way (grin), does anyone have any idea on how to get job information for electric generation companys like Smith-Enron, or whoever else is generating electricity in DR? I've been operating electrical generation facilities for 20 years, and if I could find a decent job in a power plant in DR I'd be there in a heartbeat.

Thank's in advance for any info,

Carl

Default Re: work

Why don't you schedule a two-week vacation to the DR and use the time to visit potential employers in the DR. The American companies, AES and Enron have won in the tender to privatize power and these like other winners will be hiring as they start or expand their operations in the DR. By being here in the DR you would be in a better position to find out who to contact, or follow up with.

If you are seriously considering moving to the DR, we suggest you purchase a copy of the Living in Santo Domingo book that is available on this web site. It will answer hundreds of your questions on living in the DR.

We also advise you to subscribe to the daily news service offered by this web site. It will provide job lead ideas for you to follow up.
