Questions re: Canadian Immigration

Could anyone give me an idea of how much the Dominican doctor will charge for the physical examination required by Canadian Immigration? Is it possible to get an appointment with such a physician right away, or are they usually booked far ahead of time? How long after the physical does it take to receive the landing papers?

It's been a few years since I went through this. I don't remember the exact cost, but it wasn't much (maybe $100 or less). The appointment was immediately after notification, within days. Papers were not far behind. If you have reached this point, you don't have much longer to wait.

Thanks Ann...I'm hoping to receive a letter advising of where to go for the medical any day now. I've heard from others who have come to Canada (not necesarily from the DR) that papers arrive about three months after the physical. I'm hoping it will be much faster than that!
