Merengue Festvl/Sto Dom Nightclubs

I will be in Santo Domingo 1st week of August and am trying to find some info on the festival ie who is playing when, where, etc. Can anyone help me?

Also, I would like some feedback/info on good clubs in the capital, 'cause we like to party. Been to disco at Jaragua, which was fine, & a couple of others, I think Neon was one (stuck-up crowd). Any good tips out there? Thanks.

You might not be able to get itinerary until one or two weeks prior the festival. Don't ask me why??? I would like to know the answer too.
