Returning to POP in September

Hola, Can anyone help me? My flatmate and I are returning to Puerto Plata in September later this year, does anyone know what the weather is like at that time of year???

Also, I'd like to stay in an apartment on this visit rather than a resort, can anyone recommend any in POP which are reasonably clean and cheap? Has anyone out there done this before, is it wise for two girls to do so or should we stick to the resorts???

Hi Nicki! Sept. is a bit muggy, so suggest stay closer to ocean or beach areas to get better air from trade winds. No problem for ladies renting an apt. Have a couple of apts. on beachfront at Cofresi, three miles west of Puerto Plata, if interested. Papa Juan..jmacdon@ma.ultranet.com
