Merengue Festival

I need to know when the Merengue Festival is going to be held this year in PUERTO PLATA. Usually it is held the 2nd week in October. If any one knows exactly when it will happen this year, please let me know. Thanking you in advance.

Wherever two or more Dominicans are gathered in the name of Merengue, there is a festival even at 3A.M. next to a sleeping baby's crib. This and other prenatal and postnatal Merengue experiences have served my children well. They learned to sleep through everything and anything. Unfortunately, that includes alarm clocks. Yet, the spirit of Merengue is a catchy happy thing, so I hope that you find the festival which you crave.

coño!!! the Carnaval is off the hook!!! It is like USA 4th of July meets halloween Dominican Style!! It is the best street party on earth. The one thing though, you will NOT hear live Merengue, just recorded popular songs played by the float crews. It is something that must be seen, though.
