Whitewater Rafting in DR??

Next time I'm in the Dominican I want to go whitewater rafting? Does anybody know the where/how/$$ 411 on this?

Hi Ciaran - I know of 3 companies offering White Water Rafting & all of them operate out of Jarabacoa. The tour companies charge fromm US $99 per person but I know someone who knows someone etc., etc. Get back to me via my hotmail address for further info. What can I say - I have just returned after the most wonderful 10 days in Jarabacoa, the paradise for river rafting in DR. I LOVE IT! And I will for sure go back there. In this fantastic area there are also a lot of other recomendable adventure possibilities - take a look at http://www.dominicana.com/baiguate/eng/index.htm The site does not at all live up to what you will get, but it will give you a hint. The people at Rancho Baiguate are very nice and they have very professional guides for all the adventures they are offering. They also have rooms at Baiguate. Go and do it - you will never regret it.
