Allegro Airlines/Allegro Bavaro Resorts

I am traveling to DR in August via Allegro Airlines, does anyone know anything about them?? I was told by the Allegro Bavaro Resort that the airline is a separate company but I can not find any information about them thanx

Nancy- I'm sorry I don't have any information for you. I am traveling to the Allegro Bavaro myself in October. I hope you can give me the low down when you come back! I just can't find enough information to saisfy myself!

We took this trip last month. It was great. The flight was fine. Allegro airlines had a problem with the number of crew members on board. They were able to get two volunteers to take a later flight to let two extra crew members on. This was no big deal. We enjoyed everything, and would love to go back.

Allegro Air is a Mexican goverment owned air lines we have traveled to Cancun with them several times and the only trouble we have had is taking off on time the flight itself and the crew were great.

We just came back from the Allegro Bavaro Beach. We means me, husband, four daughters, and their friends. We all had a great time. I will be posting a review in a couple of days. If you have any questions, feel free to ask.

It is correct that Allegro Air is a Mexican charter airline. This company have no relationship with the Hotel chain with the same name.This airine is used by many american Tour Operators to fly their passengers to different destinations. Most of the charter airlines usually offer a friendly service on board and the fact of delays is not something you should take as a regular problem.Since this flights some times are not regular departures,as it is the case with schedule airlines,it is possible that the departure times assigned by the airports for that particular flight is exposed to some modifications. The charter flights are a very good way to travel to the Dominican Republic specially taking in consideration the hight airfares offered by some regular airlines that are only interested in making money with the ethnic travellers (Many dominicans in the USA!!!) that are obligued to pay those fares if they have to travel.Dont be afraid of these charter flights.
