Default cortecito guest house

In March I stayed at a lovely guest house in Playa Cortecito, near Punta Cana. Guadalupe Barrera was the owner. It was called Posada de Piedras. Anyone familiar with it? I'm looking for the phone number!

Thanks for the phone number!! Posada de Piedra is a refreshing alternative to the resort scene, isn't it? Reminds me of a US bed and breakfast. The international family was absolutely accomodating and pleasant. What a great view from the bedroom window of the ocean through the palm trees! Beautiful balcony, too! And the rates were affordable.

I am curious about this place; how does one get there and what are their rates? Please give as much information as possible. Thanks!

We took a charter from USA to Punta Cana. At the airport we took a taxi ($30) to Playa Cortecito. The taxi driver took us right to the front steps of Guadelupe's guest house, Posada de Piedra.

We made reservations directly with Guadalupe by phone, and then sent a fax confirmation. I'm fuzzy about the rates...seems to be $25-30US per day. She has three rooms. One is spacious with a private bath. The other two are smaller and share a bath. She offers breakfast or lunch for an additional amount.

Guadelupe and her husband speak Italian, Spanish, and English. Apparently she is an internationally known musician. She sang at one of the well-known night clubs in Sto. Dgo while we were there!
