Suzanna If you are having a hard time reaching this guy there may be a reason. Have a look at the postings titled Chi Chi. It may be a clue of what happens on holidays. If I'm wrong I am soory and hope someone can help you find him.

I wouldn't recommend that anybody review the chichi threads except to learn a lesson in how to hurt people by making false assumptions, confuse people, and abuse a message board. It would take real skill to sort through it all and learn anything valid about chichi, though we could learn how to handle such questions better. I would hope the responses be wiser than before.

Arcoiris, the reason that chi-chi guy got the wrath from every body is because we all dislike a heel and men that take advantage of innocent women, I think that some of the women that go there from some of those scandinavian countries are not worldly per say when they meet up with the likes of latin pimps and gigolo and their line of bull****, so I think the readers was some what protective and lashed out on this guy with good reason seen that a few of the women on this board was taken for the ride imagine the rest that are not online and don,t know of this board.

But we don't know chichi. We don't know that he is a pimp. Some assumed that Alex & he had sex, when they didn't. Some assumed that he wanted to trick her into marriage, when the facts indicated otherwise. Lashing out at chichi because of projected assumptions based on someone else's experience is unjust. It hurt both Alex and Chichi and generalizes about Dominican men negatively, which is prejudice. Neither do we know Suzanna nor this guy, nor what the situation is. Anna is right in that usually when any guy doesn't call there is a reason; not necesarily a bad one.

No lecturing please... I suspect you are making strong assumptions about the effects of the Chi Chi thread on the readers. For example, you worry that somebody might have generalized the chi chi experience to "all Dominican men". If someone did so, that person must be out of his/her mind. You can't do anything with a sample of one, even less when that sample was taken in an unreal vacational atmosphere (little to do with the real DR). And you can't worry about what people out of their minds do or think, because there are so many people out of their minds in this world.

Arcoiris, I understand you are a caring person with noble feelings, but the readers of this board are adult people with their own judgment. Please don't underestimate them by suggesting what they should read or not. Personally, I thought the Chi chi story told a lot about human nature and I'm glad I was allowed to read it. Still, it is an individual's experience, not a scientific study. We all know that.

arcoiris has a point. I dislike what guys like Chi Chi do, I was one of the fist persons to post my concerns about such a relationship. I have seen that happen many times living in the Dominican Republic. But people did get carried away and made many false assumptions and accusations. Many of the posts just made the situation worse. Everybody was more concerned about making their point, then the fact that there were actually real people with real feelings involved in this. I don't believe that all of these women go to the DR expecting to be swept off their feet by some gigalo, but it happens, that's what these guys are good at. There's gotta be a better way to help them see the truth than to trash them and make wild assumptions and accusations about them.

Dan, thats exactly what my point was on my answer to Arcoiris,I expressed the naivette of this young ladies looking for perjaps innocent vacation romance,instead they get a suave gigolo that works the resorts. Its to bad instead of meeting say a college student or a profesional they got a CARNY at the carnival.
