DR1 or anyone that knows can you please tell me how much it is to fly from PuertoPlata to Santo Domingo just for the day? Also does a local dominican need a passport to do this? One more question how much does a passport cost for a dominican to get and the duration it takes to get one made? Greatly appriecate the info.

to go from puertoplata to santo doming you do not need a pastport because you are flying withen the island still. and for fare you have to call the airport in puertoplata, because fare may varie. and to get a passport it not no more that $500 peso and it's take two or three day for it depend where you go.

It costs about RD$750, although sometimes Air Santo Domingo (Herrera airport) will have a sale and it will be less. You will be traveling within the DR, so a passport is not needed. It takes about two weeks to get a Dominican passport. The person will need a new cedula (ID card). See the Ministry of Foreign Relations web site for passport pricing, it's about RD$600.

They seat about 17 persons and are made in Checoslovakia. They are very comfortable. I have flown several times and they are comfortable, and leave on time.
