I'm not sure about fine detail for getting there either. I always had someone drive me from either SD or PP. But the most beautiful route from North Coast to Jarabacoa is definitely through the mountains. Not the coast way and then south.. Once in Jarabacoa - what to see/do depends on your preferences.. There's not much happening in town. The main attraction is the surrounding nature. Go river rafting and see the river that way, get on mountainbikes for hours and see the villages, mountains or views.. or go trekking to waterfalls or..... If you want a local guide - and I would recommend it when you're only there for one day - get in touch with Rancho Baiguate. They can sort out just about anything you would like to do. If you want specifics, feel free to email me.
