living in st martin

In October we will be in living in St Martin for three years. I have been in Dominican Republic and I liked it very very much. Now is st Martin a much smaller Iland and I would like to know from people who have been there what it is like to live in the caribien an maby even living in st martin.

Is there a good site or message board about st martin, because I have not found one which is really interesting.

I know a lot about living in tropical countries, but I just would like to have some extra tips.
