Bill, the qualities you seek in a lawyer have never existed since the dawn of mankind. Go to the "Huacal" to immigration, get the check list of what you need in order to gain residency, and do it yourself!! Pay only the government fees and stamps and don't pay ANYONE one centavo for "extraneous services". You will save yourself at least $8,000 pesos if you "go-it-alone." But you do have to expect to wait at least a year before the whole process is completed. Usted necesita mucha paciencia!!
