Default Spanish with local color (Dominicanismos)

Hi! I prepared this list of dominican words and phrases for a student and decided to share them with you.

Some of these words are used in others spanish speaking countries too or were originated in other countries/languages.

"Fogaraté" used in context to describe a hyperactive kid (dominican style):

"¡Ofrecóme virgen santísima! E'te muchacho 'er diablo parece que tiene fogaraté en el fullín"

dear JC,

I read your message on the board and I couldn't help laugh my butt off. It was pretty funny to read those dominican words! Here, I am including just a few words that I still remember and found to be pretty funny too. Thanks for the good laughter!
