Although I cant answer your question,I`m wondering if you can answer mine.I own a large auto & truck salvage yard in the U.S. and interested in exporting parts to D.R.Can you point me in a direction to get started.

You need to come down to the DR and take a look around. There are several large salvage yards/used parts outlets in Santo Domingo and I know at least one imports used motors from Japan. There is a definate need for used parts here in all of the DR as it is growing like crazy and the government recently lowered the import duty on used cars, especially those 5 years old or more.
