visit to DR

My friends and I are talking about visiting the DR next summer. We found a villa at Playa Confresi. We have several children and are concerned for the safety and also finding enough things for them to do. Are there places close by, etc. Is this a nice place to take them? I am looking for any information I can get. Need to make a decision soon.

Playa Cofresi is a beautiful area. To my knowledge safe. Bring games but you are very close to the beach. If they like the ocean they will have a good time--what are their ages? Respond here or Email for more information

Having lived here at Playa Cofresi for almost eighteen years, I feel you will enjoy yourself here. As for children; there are several boys and girls, of varying ages that live here and are bi-lingual. The beach is very nice, and good restauranmts on area, plus only three miles to Puerto Plata.
