Actually was the actual price per gallon for the gasoline in DR.

If I remember correctly..$28.00(RD) Premium gasoline.

Wendy, Current fuel prices are: Regular, non-lead, $22rd per US gallon

Premimum non-lead, $28

Diesel $12.9 Multiply these by the exchange rate (yesterday at the bank I got 15.6 pesos per US dollar) and you have the price in dollars. The price of fuel is relatively stable as the government keeps it that way.

I've been living in the DR [Puerto Plata] for 2 years, & have owned 2 vehicles. The approximate present price of unleaded gasoline is $1.80/gallon; diesel fuel is $.80/gallon, both at the current exchange rate [US $1.00 = @ DR 15.85]. The fuel seems to be of reasonably positive quality & cleanliness. Automotive, etc. fuel has a constant price throughout the country, maintained & enfored by the national government. Peaceful driving!
