Default Travel Documents for 2 yr. old?

What travel documents does a 2 yr. old Canadian need when travelling with his parents. to DR? He would be listed as a child in one parents passport. (Been getting different answers; has anyone with a child been there recently?) Thanks.

My travel agent says as long as the child is listed on one of your passports you will be O.K. You may want to bring along the child's original birth certificate just as a precaution. You can get info about the DR in Canada by calling 1(800)563-1611. Have fun!

Hi,

We just returned with our 21 month old. All we needed was the birth certificate. They did make us pay the $10.00 for him at customs upon arriving but did not have to pay the departure tax for him. I guess it depended on the mood of the customs agent at the time. Have a good trip. Our son loved it.
