Are there busses to and from the airport to Boca Chica from the Santo Domingo Airport, or must you take taxis?

You have to walk or take a motoconcho or taxi to the highway about 1/2 - 1 mile. Many airport employees walk. From there, you can take a bus to Boca Chica. Taxi fare from the airport to Boca Chica is RD$200, up from RD$150 last year. It is a 10-15 minute ride by taxi, I'd guess about 5 miles.

At times, it is possible to catch a workers' bus upstairs outside. It is non scheduled and very irregular. Taxis that have dropped off departing passengers on the upper level can at times be obtained at a better rate than tourist taxis on arrival level
