Help, I am seeking information for long stay in DR

I am looking for information on what special things I need to do for a stay in the DR for longer than 30 days. Is it against the Dominican Law to do so? I have been many times, bought the tourist card like all others, but what about for longer stays??? Any ideas on where to look for job? I am a golf professional but with the limited golf courses in the DR I understand it will be a little difficult in getting a job at one. Where can I possible teach English?? I will be staying just outside of Santo Domingo so within traveling distance from there. I am also looking for a nice retreat, hotel, for my girlfriend and myself to stay for a couple of nights when I first get down there. I would love to find a mid priced hotel with great facilities?? How about a hotel that has rooms with hot tubs?? I looked through the indexed, reviewed hotels and did not find any?? Can anyone help?? Somewhere within a couple of hours travel from the capitol would be preferred. Thanks for your time and any help you can give me.
