weather in La Romana

Hi, on the site below, since a month, they always said that La Romana is partly cloudy, raining, or under thunder storm. What is the average time of cloud and rain, is it raining for many hours or only a few minutes with the rest of the day of sunshine.

The standard weather forecast for the DR is partly cloudy with chance of showers. This does not mean the sun is not shining brightly and your No. 1 concern should be in protecting yourself from the sun.

By the showers they mean rain downpours of about five minutes. Afterwards, the sun shines brightly.

The thunderstorm forecast is misleading. It means that sometimes it will rain (again for short periods) and there will be a thunder or two.

Recently there was a downpour that lasted about 40 minutes in some parts of Santo Domingo, but that is extraordinary.

In the beach areas of La Romana and Punta Cana, it rains even less. Come on down and enjoy the good weather.
