Allegro Jack Tar Village

My wife and I are planning to spend our honeymoon at the Jack Tar village in Puerto Plata. How does this facility rate? What is the beach like? In some of the brochures I've looked at, some of the resorts look pretty spread out and it looks like your room could be a long way from the pools and/or beach. We're looking for a place that has a good mix of restaraunts and activities but with a relaxed atmosphere and not neccessarily "party central".

This is a good choice. It has lovely gardens, is very private. The hotel is spread out, but walking is not a problem. The pool is centrally located. This is an adults only resort, so you will have lots of peace and quiet.
