live merengue and batchata concerts

I will start a trip to Punta Cana at the 29.11.99 and would like to visit an live concert at this time from the 30.11.99 till to the 12.12.99 Does somebody know some dates and places where I can go. My favorits are Proyecto Uno, los Illegales, La Makina, Juan Luis Guerra, Elvis Crespo, Sandy y Papo, Raphy Mathias, La Banda Gorda, Los Toros Band etc etc. I would be very happy if I can get informations. The area is not important. Thank you very much.

You should commute to Santo Domingo, you will have to overnight because it is a four hour drive back to Punta Cana. All throughout the holidays there will be big bands playing in city streets. As soon as the schedule becomes available we will publish it in the Daily News (you can subscribe for free on this site). There are also several night clubs where the major bands play regularly. Again, these are located in Santo Domingo primarily. When you get to Punta Cana you should check to see if any of these have programmed coming to Punta Cana or to La Romana.
