Puerta Plata Beach Resort

Will be gooing to this resort 2/20/00 and want any feedback that I can get about the resort and amenitites. Never been to the DR so any info is helpful! Thanks

Puerto Plata Beach Resort is a nice hotel in Puerto Plata itself. Beach across the street is well kept and safe. The hotel is just completing renovations and looks super. You can enjoy it's casino also. Downstown is only minutes away by taxi or 30 minute/walk. While on holidays, you may want to enjoy lots of local restaurants, bars, etc. where you will be able to speak your language! i.e. Rum Runners, Cafecito, Sam's Bar & Grill and more.... you can visit the www.popreport.com for more information. Check out the breakfast at Sofy's B&B (it's really great) and just around the corner from your resort.

Phyllis... you forgot to mentiont that Puerto Plata Beach Reasort and Casino and a pretty good hotel.. they just finished doing lots of renovation and for someone who wishes to enjoy Puerto Plata... should book. And, of course, if you get sick of the buffet style breakfasts, you can enjoy a good breakfast ... away from home.... at Sofy's!!!!
