miami to DR via ship

I would like info regarding travelling from Miami to Santo Domingo via boat. A contact number would be great. I'm not looking for a cruise, rather economical one-way transport to the DR. Any suggestions would be appreciated. I live in Toronto, Canada and study in Santo Domingo. Is it cheaper, to book a flight to Miami, and then take santo domingo air to the DR?

Hi! It has always been cheaper to fly directly from Toronto or Montreal to the DR. This year air only is very expensive compared to before. I even saw an all inclusive at Bahia Principe for a week at the same price as air only. There are less flights & fuel surcharges are back again because of Opec oil prices. Regards, Canadian Bob.
