What is the best way to ship to the DR?

Does anyone know the best way to send a CD to the Dominican? Fedex is very expensive and I'm afraid of sending by post.

My husband and I would like to send a package (between 5-10 lbs.)down to his family for Christmas....The cheapest I've found so far from Toronto is $85 via Air Transat to Las Americas airport. Anyone know of a better way?

I usually use DHL. The prices are probably the same as fed-ex, but I trust them cause I've used them over and over. Some use UPS too.

You are right, don't send it by post. The chances are almost 100% il will never get to the people you will send it.

Ive sent many packages down to my friends in the DR...and Ive always used Canada Post's registered mail service...it takes about a week, but they require a signature upon delivery...Ive never had a problem this way. however i've never sent anything to "remote" areas...it was always to a hotel.
