Moving to the D. R.

Any help on this matter would be great, my wife and me are US born and have been living outside the US for many years now. I have been to the D.R. a few times and like the country. Where do you think would be the best area to live in this country.

If you are looking for city life. Santo Domingo its the place. Cafes, Rush hours, Bars, Restaurants, etc...

In Santo Domingo, I prefer properties around the ocean drive.

If you are looking for country living, my preference is "El Ciabo" area...Santiago, La Vega, etc..

Retirement areas....Casa de Campo, and Samana among others..

It will give you valuable insights on moving to the DR. If you decide to go ahead, it will save you time and money in the relocation and adaptation process.
