Have never heard of a report where a tourist was injured by a shark. Have scuba diving friends who had taken underwater photographs with sharks and have captured one or two of them.
Ipl, you won't encounter sharks inside the coral reefs, the are in deeper water, & include tiger sharks, which can be potentially dangerous, especially if you are spearfishing. Canadian Bob
