Rice and Beans recipe

I was in the DR recently and i LOVE their rice and beans. I was wondering if someone could give me the recipe for them so that I can make them here in the US and with ingredients that I can find here easily. Also, what kind of beans should I buy? thanks!

Buy pinto beans. What makes the difference from US red bean recipe is the cilantro (ancho and verdura) and the light green pepper and ají gustoso. You may have have to go to an ethnic marketplace to find these specific ingredients. This recipe was listed some time back. Do a search of the archives using the word recipe, recipes, Dominican recipe, even rice and beans and see if you can find it. The search will be worthwhile because several more recipes will show up.
